This is a full time position, Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM. The following is a list of responsibilities for this position and is not intended to be a complete list. Examine and analyze legal documents related to real estate property. Receive, record, index and file various legal documents. Assist in preservation of real estate records and other records maintained by the department. Determine pertinent document data and impute into record management system with high degree of accuracy. Research historical recorded documents, related indexes, data bases and other resources. Assist and confer with legal representatives, County officials, County employees, officers from financial agencies and others regarding real estate transactions or legal descriptions of property. Explain instruments, registration requirements and notarize documents as requested. Provide direct and frequent communication with the public, professional businesses and governmental agencies. Calculate and process fees and balance receipts with collected revenues. Prepare mailings of documents and professional correspondence letters and memorandums. Prepare, issue and record marriages licenses and perform wedding ceremonies. Safe-keep and handle wills in accordance with statutory requirements. Execute and provide assistance with passport applications. Certification is required. Knowledge of effectively working with the public, record keeping and office procedures is important.

Position requires a minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Ability to obtain notary public license and passport acceptance certification is required. Knowledge of effectively working with the public, record keeping and office procedures is important.

Pay: $3,176.32 to $3,304.65/mo. plus benefits package.
