Job Description
A Customer Service Estimator is responsible for completing the following duties:
- Assist the Territory Manager in managing a sales territory by developing quotes, managing orders, and answering sales inquiries for the territory's dealers, producers, and potential customers, for all component product lines
- Provide guidance for customers selecting proper sizing and application for Superior's products
- Work with engineering to obtain pricing and specifications on special products
- Process orders by accurately communicating the needs of the internal and external customer to insure order integrity and commitments are met
- Complete all final “to be built" specifications and generate necessary files for communication to Engineering, Transportation, and Production departments
- Inform and update customers and dealers regularly on the status of their order, with particular regard to delivery of quotes and sold orders
- Document and communicate sales process using: E1, Google, and Salesforce
- Incorporate feedback from other departments to provide more accurate quotes, pricing and information to our customers
- Review application detail, specify and apply the proper products
- Ensure sales quotes are: accurate, appropriate for applications, and prepared in a timely manner
- Estimates are detailed, they reflect any need for special products, services, or transportation considerations
- Provide world class quality on all products and processes of component's sales
- Closely monitor sold orders and the production schedule to ensure on-time delivery
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Knowledge of distributedproducts line - in particular Idlers, Pulleys, and Accessories
- Demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to influence others and build strong relationships
- Superb organizational skills, with the ability to successfully work on multiple tasks at a time
- Mechanical aptitude, with above average math skills
- Demonstrate ability to manage conflict to win-win solutions
- Ability to use and understand Windows-based software, MS Excel, ERP Sales Module, and Salesforce
- Prefer a background in the Bulk Material Handling industry
- Self-motivated with the ability to handle fast paced work
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
