Job Summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Test Engineer to provide test support for our Missile Products Division located in Plymouth, MN location. We are seeking a candidate with a desire to learn and experience working in an engineering environment. Responsibilities will include supporting more senior Test Engineers with the planning, coordination, execution, analysis and reporting of planned test events. Travel up to 50% (or more at times) may be required for this position to support test execution at Government and Commercial Test facilities. The candidate will also support the development of test fixtures, data acquisition, transducer selection, writing test plans and reports, coordination with test facilities and interfacing with other engineering groups.

Additional duties and responsibilities include:

Knowledge of Climatic, Vibration and Mechanical Shock, Electromagnetic Effects, and Insensitive Munitions Testing. Understanding of simple electronic circuits and fire circuits.
Knowledge of Shock Response Spectrums, Power Spectral Densities and Data Filtering
Support design and fabrication of test fixtures.
Understanding of energetic components and materials.
Knowledge of commercial and government test facilities for environmental and EME test activities.
Knowledge of MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-331, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-S-901, MIL-STD-2105, JOTP-052 and JOTP-053 standards and guidelines.
Support test design to satisfy requirement objectives.
Familiar with signal analysis tools, MATLAB, MS Office Tools and MS VISIO.
Ability to simultaneously support multiple test activities.
Willingness to travel (up to 50%)
Good written and oral presentation skills

This position may be filled at a higher level, depending on education and/or years of experience.

Experience Required for Associate Systems Test Engineer:

Requires a Bachelors of Science in Electrical, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering
Must be willing to work with DoD programs and energetic devices.
Must be willing to travel for work up to 75%.
Must be U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.

Requires a Bachelors of Science in Electrical, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering
Must be willing to work with DoD programs and energetic devices.
Must be willing to travel for work up to 75%.

At least two years of Engineering work experience, or a Masters Degree in Engineering.
Must be willing to work with DoD programs and energetic devices.
Must be willing to travel for work up to 75%.
Must be U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.

Salary Range: 59100 - 88700
Salary Range 2: 71500 - 107300

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
