The primary function of these positions is to clean and perform minor maintenance duties in the academic buildings at MSUM.

Duties may include:

* Cleaning offices, restrooms, classrooms, hallways, etc.
* Taking out trash, emptying recycling bins, dusting, vacuuming, mopping.
* Monitoring equipment, light fixtures and general building conditions to ensure all are in safe working order.
* Shoveling and salting sidewalks as needed. 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Ability to determine proper cleaning materials and chemicals in order to use the effectively.
* Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
* Ability to perform minor repairs.
* Ability to operate vacuums, floor scrubbers, carpet shampooers.
* Basic computer skills to check email, submit electronic timesheet, review work orders.
* Physical requirements to include: repetitive bending, twisting, lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, climbing ladders, standing.
