Wastewater Project Manager

The Opportunity

Sambatek is currently seeking a Project Manager that wants to be part of our wastewater team to design and execute engineering projects, representing clients such as municipalities, industries, and other agencies. As a Project Manager you will help us grow and expand our wastewater engineering practice by collaborating with other internal disciplines as well as clients, professional organizations, equipment suppliers, contractors, and other firms. We are looking for entrepreneurial engineer that has a drive to exceed expectations collaborating with a growing firm that has a vision to enhance the lives of its colleagues, clients, and communities!

Work Location: Hybrid- in-person for client presentations and team interactions. In office as needed; may require occasional evening meeting.

Qualified candidate will:

* Maintain and expand our design engineering practice
* Serve as project manager, client manager and/or senior technical resource for clients
* Manage and provide professional services for wastewater engineering projects to include facilities planning, design, and construction administration on projects related to wastewater collection and treatment
* Oversee client relationships, client development, and client retention
* Prepares project work plan, scope, schedule, and budget, and communicates these to project team members; monitors/manages project production for compliance with schedule, budget, and quality objectives
* May supervise and mentor technical professionals, associate project managers, and design staff including workload and staff management
* Remain at the forefront of emerging industry practices
* Develop new business by collaborating with other internal disciplines
* Nurture current long-term relationships while developing new long-lasting relationships through outstanding client care
* Continually seeks opportunities to increase client satisfaction, while fostering rapport with regulatory agencies and partner firms

Qualifications

* Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related degree
* Masters degree preferred

* Professional Engineer (P.E) registration in the State of Minnesota or the ability to obtain one within first 6 months of employment
* 8+ years of experience with wastewater facilities planning, design and construction
* Proven ability to win wastewater projects
* Experience managing large projects or large tasks on big projects
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in State and Federal regulations and processes
* Strong self-motivation, communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines

Physical Demands and Work Environment

* Work is primarily performed in an office environment
* Ability to occasionally move equipment/objects weighing up to 10 pounds
