About The Opportunity

We're looking for a Channel Business Development Manager with a zeal to win, a kind heart, an unwavering team spirit, a positive attitude and a great sense of humor to join our rapidly growing team. The Channel Business Development Manager will be charged with pursuing and developing new strategic channel partnerships as well as fully leveraging existing partnerships to drive revenue and account growth. The successful candidate will take ownership of implementing best practices with all channel partners that maximize revenue opportunities across the sales organization. In addition, we are looking for someone with excellent organization and written communication skills to assume responsibility for preparing proposals and responding to all RFP requests. You will be a key player on an incredible team as we execute our mission to help local governments become more efficient.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a channel growth strategy focused on driving sales opportunities and maximizing penetration into partner client pools.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans with key strategic partners and actively manage and optimize such partnerships. Share best practices across strategic partnerships.
  • Build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with new and existing strategic partners.
  • Build and maintain a predictable channel pipeline of client opportunities/leads that help the company consistently achieve or exceed bookings objectives.
  • Conduct research to identify new channel partnership opportunities and pursue strategic relationships where appropriate.
  • Conduct research to identify state-level organizations and initiatives that represent strategic partnership opportunities for ClearGov, and pursue relationships where appropriate.
  • Work side-by-side with senior management to develop and implement business development initiatives that drive core strategic objectives.
  • Act as the strategic advisor and market leader to drive mindshare with channel partners
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive proposals in response to partnership opportunities. Pitch, negotiate and close strategic partnership agreements.
  • Act as point person to review, evaluate and (when appropriate) respond to all client RFPs, in partnership with applicable Account Executives.
  • Manage and provide regular reporting to strategic partners on joint progress, referral results, revenue sharing, etc.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of channel/business development experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or MBA, or equivalent
  • Strong sales and presentation skills - a true closer!
  • Highly developed written communication skills, including report writing, presentations, email correspondence and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to construct a clear, compelling and comprehensive written proposal is a MUST
  • Ability to accurately project and manage a channel pipeline
  • Consistent track record of achieving or exceeding channel revenue targets
  • Direct experience in selling to government entities is a plus
  • Direct experience with preparing RFPs for local governments a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (GSuite) required
  • Proven ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and operate with a high sense of urgency
