POSITION SUMMARY:

The position of Finance Business Analyst offers a hardworking, team-oriented individual the opportunity to be responsible for the administration, maintenance, support, customization and configuration for Finance during implementation and post go live support activities. Collaborate with Finance departments to assess system requests, assist with system trainings as needed and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency. Work with business users to collect and document requirements and use the requirements to test projects related to ERP business applications to ensure an optimal solution.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Assist with the transition of acquired companies to company software system(s).
Act as the company's Finance subject matter expert and contribute to future software integration efforts.
Coordinate with cross-functional resources to deliver against defined timelines and accounting business requirements.
Gather user requirements in relation to accounting and financial reporting activities.
Work with Finance departments throughout the process to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Facilitate sessions with stakeholders to outline scope, goals, deliverables and resource needs.
Anticipate project risks and issues, confidently address any and all challenges, mitigate risks and issues and escalate to appropriate parties where required.
Project manage implementation of enhancements and/or upgrades.
Create and run reports using reporting systems.
Perform accounting functions including journal entries and account reconciliations as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

Four year degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
Two to four years experience in accounting principles and ability to apply them.
Knowledge of FASB requirements and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
ERP experience, specifically SAP experience preferred.
Working knowledge of Word and extensive knowledge of Excel.
Analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to work with detail.
Ability to work well with others in a team atmosphere.
Ability to prioritize job duties in order to meet deadlines.
Problem solving skills.
