Sheriff's Deputy

In this position a person will perform duties involving the protection of life & property, crime prevention, apprehension of criminals, and the general enforcement of laws and ordinances. Our Deputies are proactive in all facets of the position and expected to be involved in the community. Variety of assignments including: Patrol, Investigations, Recreation (Boat/Snowmobile unit), Regional Drug Task Force, K9, Tactical Response Team, Negotiations Team, Drone Team, and Community Engagement. Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have completed skills, possess a valid driver's license, & be full-time licensed or license eligible by the Minnesota POST Board by posting closing date. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

Starting Salary: $31.13 to $38.91/hour-DOQ-experience will be considered when determining pay rate.

Selection Method: Finalists will undergo background investigation, psychological evaluation, physical exam, & drug testing.
