YOUR ROLE

  • The Director of Category Development and Shopper Insights leads Henkel in creating category and shopper centric growth platforms for the Laundry and Home Care Business Unit. This role is a leadership position responsible for developing category and shopper-based strategies and tools that will drive profitable growth for Henkel and our Omni-Channel customers.
  • This position will be a key member of the Sales Strategy Leadership Team, partnering with Marketing Insights, Consumer & Shopper, Revenue Management, Sales Operations and Supply Chain as a means of influencing the organization. This position will be actively engaged in building strong working relationships with Henkel Brand and Commercial Teams.
  • Lean development of Category Framework and Organizational Capabilities. Lead Establish ways of working and tools to build consistent and high performing teams, both HQ and Customer Based.
  • Build advanced analytic and shopper insight capabilities that increases team's ability to deliver more compelling, unique and credible insights and solutions faster and scalable across the organization
  • Provide operational discipline, overseeing Henkel Laundry & Home Care Category Planning process, ensuring timeline and milestone discipline needed for multi-year Joint Business Planning
  • Change Management. Foster a learning culture that embraces change by prioritizing key operating principles.
  • Team/Talent Development. Responsible for the recruitment, selection, development and retention of top category management & shopper insight talent
  • Determine strategy for syndicated data collection, budgeting and utilization


YOUR SKILLS

  • B.S/BA degree for accredited university with 10+ Years CPG Experience, 5+ years in Category Management/Shopper Insights role
  • Superior communication skills (written - verbal - presentation) Ability to influence decision maker across all levels of internal and external organizations
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to identify root causes and link strategies and objectives and distill complex data in compelling stories and recommendations
  • Strong proficiency in key Category Management, data aggregation and business analytic software. Mastery of syndicated, POS, Household panel and other primary & secondary sources
  • Significant experience in building, developing, and managing high performance teams
  • Highly preferred location in Fairfield County CT/New York City Metro Area

The salary range for this role is $149,435 to $216,629. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Connecticut. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
