YOUR ROLE

  • The Human Resources Manager serves as an HR Business Partner to Henkel's Adhesives organization at our Cleveland, OH and Lagrange, GA facilities . Responsibilities include employee relations, recruitment, training, change management, OD/design, compensation & HR administration
  • Participates as a key member of the Plant Staff, and provides business knowledge, leadership and direction that support plant objectives
  • Drive talent management activities to ensure most qualified employees are recruited, hired, and retained, including succession planning and annual performance review process
  • Manage employee relations; administers and interprets policy, procedure and practice. Manages the disciplinary action policy and procedure
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal legal requirements and regulations including employment matters on FLSA, NLRA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, ADEA, COBRA, HIPAA, and OSHA
  • Drives implementation of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion program
  • Manages compensation and benefits programs to ensure compliance and equity. Conducts local labor market wage surveys to determine competitive wage rates
  • Manages Workers' Compensation and unemployment issues. Coordinates with Corporate on the Employee Recognition Program. Develops and manages the EEO program/Affirmative Action Plans
  • Responsible for maintaining HR Management System and conducting annual audits


YOUR SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree; preferably in Psychology, Human Resources or Industrial/Organizational Psychology, along with 5-7 years of HR generalist experience preferably in a manufacturing or related industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures in areas of HR such as dispute resolution, performance management, employment law, employee relations, recruiting/staffing, communications, training, compensation and benefits administration, and recordkeeping
  • Integrity to sustain exceptional personal and professional ethics in all circumstances. Expertise to advocate in the best interests of employees and the company
  • Proven strategic and tactical skills. Demonstrated problem analysis and resolution. Analytical and mathematical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • HR process and systems knowledge, and the ability to identify and implement HR best practices
