Job Summary

This person will maintain ledgers and prepare financial statements for a number of individual businesses. Responsibilities also include budgeting, cash forecasting, and providing supporting schedules and documentation for tax preparation, outside agencies, and for management review as needed. A self-starter with the ability to maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management and support resources with a constant commitment to teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties Include
  • Preparation of internal and external financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Responsible for period-end close activities to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Prepare budgets and cash forecasts as required by management.
  • Prepare and submit any schedules or reports required by outside agencies or lenders.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and timely reporting of financial information.
  • Exercise judgment in financial, operational, or transactional analysis.
  • Works independently and with team members to support consistent, logical and effective solutions to job related situations.
  • Exhibit teamwork and camaraderie.
  • Engage in constructive discussion with team including in regular attendance of team meetings
  • Demonstrate accountability and a commitment to serving the businesses we are responsible for.
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
  • Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of R.D. Offutt Company.
  • Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and other related efforts.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or the equivalent work experience
  • Three years of work-related experience in the accounting field preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Candidate must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
