Position Overview

The Associate Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for supporting the wide ranging activities of the Supply Chain Solutions group by gaining extensive customer & supply chain knowledge and assisting in evaluating customer and Digi-Key supply chain opportunities.

This is considered an essential onsite role, which requires regular onsite attendance.

Responsibilities: Must be able to...

• Gain Sales and Supply Chain knowledge for assigned regions
• Provide additional support for internal and external customers regarding specific supply chain programs as a Supply Chain Analyst backup, as well as overall knowledge of all of Digi-Key sales process
• Support internal customers by responding in a timely and professional manner
• Communicate all pertinent information as received to appropriate people/departments
• Understand area KPIs|OKRs (e.g. new supply chain programs, new part adds to programs) and how your role impacts those metrics
• Learn and apply the functionality and processes of MRP and bond programs
• Partner with experienced SC Analyst; assisting them in their responsibilities, learning the role, processes, systems along the way
• Build and manage the relationship with the field Supply Chain Managers|Directors
• Proactively manage future opportunities, scheduling customer follow-ups, BD follow-ups
• Participate on and provide recommendations for continuous improvement opportunities within Supply Chain Solutions; specific to role, team, assigned area of focus
• Seek new opportunities for learning, skills, knowledge, etc.

Other duties as assigned including but not limited to possible reallocation of efforts to other organizations per business need and management request.

Other Typical Tasks May Also Include:

• Participate in staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars
• Take on additional responsibilities from the Supply Chain Solutions leadership
• May test system updates/applications
• May participate in customer conference calls and strategy meetings
• May participate on cross-functional working teams or tasks forces
• May participate in the creation of training & documentation of processes as well as the facilitation of training
  

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Typically, 0-2+ years of Digi-Key experience in Assigned Sales, Asset, Order Management, other relevant work experience
• Successful completion of the training provided (system 'know-how' & sales 'know-how')
• Demonstrate expertise in Excel (e.g. V-Look Up, Macros, Formulas)
• Demonstrate the following behavioral competencies: Initiative, Professionalism
• Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
• Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience

• Understand of the various functions of Digi-Key and the industry Digi-Key operates in
• Knowledge of Digi-Key brand and its principles
• Associate degree in business or technical field
