ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Ensure conformance to Nilfisk global quality requirements /standards within New Solutions development (NSD) projects.
* Provide input into the development and continuous improvement of all NSD process work streams.
* Develop historical analysis on the predecessor product to document the quality plan.
* Identify and communicate designs or parts with historical quality issues to prevent propagation.
* Develop & manage the execution of the Quality Plans on multiple NSD projects. Ensure alignment (across sites, global procurement, global SQE's & Global R&D). Includes:
* Quality plan reflective of development through execution phases, in order to support concurrent development of the product design and manufacturing process
* Identify, execute, support and follow up improvement projects that impact Total Cost of Poor Quality (TCOPQ) as per the scope of the NSD project: warranty expenses, in process losses, inspection, quality assurance delivering savings as per project objectives
* Work with Test Engineers to ensure that the test and verification plans are sufficient to meet the reliability demonstration plan. Review test failures and actively analyze and communicate the impact of proposed solutions on the reliability demonstration plan.
* Facilitate the development and use of a quantitative Risk assessment tool within the product development process.
* Prepare training materials and deliver training sessions on the NSD Quality Planning (QP) process and tools
* Provide continual coaching to NSD project team members on specific applications of core/support quality tools
* Update NSD QP schedules, develop presentations for gate meetings, prepare status reports, manage documentation NSD QP core processes and estimate status of KPIs identifying and addressing gaps
* Organizes, documents and follows up quality reviews
* Promote standardization, identification and implementation of best practices across business entities involved in NSD projects
* Identify risks related to the quality plan as well as propose and follow up mitigation actions

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology or related field of study

Skills / Competencies:

* MS/BS in Engineering
* Proven Project Management skill & experience
* 5 + years of experience supporting a manufacturing and/or product development engineering teams with a strong bias for quality engineering principles.
* Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) requested.
* Lean Manufacturing certified (Six Sigma DMAIC
* Strong project management skills, with experience facilitating planning and progress reviews with global team members in Asia, Europe and Americas
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Highly Self-motivated with a high level of initiative
* Experience in use of quality analysis/planning/validation tools such as APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC & PPAP.
* Demonstrated proficiency in use of statistical analysis software such as Minitab, or JUMP
* Knowledge about improvement processes/methods like Six-Sigma & Lean.
* Good problem solving skills with ability to teach basic problem solving techniques and facilitate problem solving team events.
* Good engineering analysis skills
* Strong presentation and team skills
* Strong data analysis and reporting skills
* Good English language fluency with both verbal and written communication.
* Minimum: IRL Level 3 professional working proficiency/ CEFR Level C1
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Proficient in use of MS Office and ability to work with complex excel workbooks
* Capability to learn new software
