As a Sr Human Resources Generalist, your focus will be to implement human resource strategies and provide a broad range of Human Resources Generalist functions to support the goals and objectives of the Operation. Provide consultation on content and process to individual managers or client groups in areas including but not limited to: employee relations, policies & procedures, compensation, talent management, performance management, employee development, staffing and organizational change.

Role & Responsibility

Employee Relations
Recommend, develop and implement employee relations practices to foster a positive employer-employee relationship and support the overall effectiveness of the organization
Provide guidance and counsel to employees relative to policy administration and interpretation
Conducts investigations as needed
Conducts various HR related training classes

Talent Management
Guide employees on training Talent Management and Development process & System
Assist managers with succession planning and development discussions
Employee training opportunities and continuing education

Salary/Benefit Administration
Consults with managers in all job or salary related issues
Prepares reports as needed to meet local and corporate requirements
Site contact for all benefit/payroll related questions; Administers scheduled payroll updates

Staffing
Assist client groups in determining appropriate staffing levels, recruitment resources, and objective selection techniques
Administers job posting system
Recruits, interviews, and participates in the selection process. AAP administration
Responsible for new hire orientation and onboarding
 

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree - Human Resources (allow equivalent)
  • Experience in handling employee relations to include conducting investigations, critical conversations, performance management, and leave management
  • Experience in full cycle recruiting all levels of roles
  • Experience in facilitating training preferred
  • Experience with payroll maintenance preferred
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing employee relations practices;
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of customer service skills
  • SAP (HR Software)
  • PHR preferred
  • 5 to 7 years' experience

What skills, education, and experiences does your ideal candidate(s) have?

•Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
•These are entry level opportunities
•Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly. Must have the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time in order to meet build requirements. Must possess the ability to read build sheets and blueprints.
•The ability to communicate with supervisors and fellow workers in both written and verbal forms at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
•Job specific skills, techniques and safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job and classroom training. General instructions are given on recurring duties, operations and assignments; detailed instructions are given on new duties, operations and assignments.
