Primary Responsibilities:

  • Will play a critical role in planning, reporting and paying commissions. As a member of the Sales Finance Team, the position will work on key financial deliverables related to forecasting and month end close responsibilities
  • Lead Monthly and Quarterly Commission payout process. Which will include working with Finance and Sales counterparts to understand strategies, initiatives, priorities, cost drivers, benefits and variances
  • Develop tools and processes to provide critical financial and operational information to Senior Management
  • Engage with internal affiliates and business partners
  • Prepare meaningful, decision enabling senior management performance reporting that clearly articulate key drivers and suggest action plans
  • Will assist in developing the financial narratives and PPT presentations for Month end close and Plans that will be utilized for both internally and external constituents
  • Performing ad-hoc analysis to enhance decisions and improve profitability
  • Continually develop and refine Compensation modeling, process improvements and other data models
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales Operations, Finance, Growth Office, Payroll in conjunction with forecasting, and reporting process

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Finance/Accounting or Business Management or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience performing financial and variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and preparing financial reports
  • Mature and proactive, with evidence of having worked as a true business partner.
  • Advanced proficiency level working with Excel
  • Analytical, quantitative, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Tableau or related applications such as Power BI experience
  • Large matrix organization experience
  • Experience building allocation/automated models
  • Self-motivated to work independently and be a team player
  • A collaborative and flexible working style, with a strong service mentality
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others and communicate effectively (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to problem solve including multiple priorities and research conflicting and/or inaccurate data
  • Experience with large data set with complex matrix environment

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $54,400 to $97,000. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $60,000 to $106,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
