Shareholder Compliance Analyst

American Crystal is looking for an individual to join our team as a Shareholder Compliance Analyst at our corporate office. As the owner of all stock-related activities, the Shareholder Compliance Analyst plays a key role in facilitating American Crystal Sugar Company stock and equity management, maintaining compliance and partnering with internal departments and external vendors. This position will interact directly with shareholders providing friendly, attentive, responsive assistance with appropriate discretion.

The principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

•Maintain Active Farmer policy certification, ensure compliance of shareholders and grandfathered share balances.

•Review and analysis of shareholder ownership

•Lead stock transfer analysis: ensure stock transfer applications comply with cooperative policy. Prepare all necessary reports for Board of Directors' consideration.

•Coordinate the review of joint venture agreements. Collaborate with outside council to ensure all documents are within the parameters of American Crystal Sugar policy.

•Maintain crop assignments from the Minnesota and North Dakota CNS Farm Product Lien and Statutory Lists

•Coordinate with various external companies and agencies.

•Manage and maintain the Political Action Committee contribution file for shareholders to ensure compliance in accordance with FEC rules.

•Maintenance of shareholder records

•Execute UCC Agreements and maintain shares pledged to secured parties by American Crystal shareholders.

•Maintain shareholder voting registration system to ensure compliance with ACSC board policy.

•Assists Supervisor with all beet payments throughout the year.

•Serve as backup to the Shareholder Relations Specialist.

•Development and maintenance of repeatable processes surrounding management of the company's stock and equity.

•Provide recommendations to further develop the stock administration function including but not limited to streamlining manual processes, automating procedures, and evaluating and implementing new processes.

Minimum Requirements

To be successful in this position requires an Associate Degree, preferably a bachelor's degree or four years of related work experience typically gained through work in paralegal, audit, compliance or legal services.

Requires knowledge of accounting, all Office 365 products with emphasis in Microsoft Excel, and Adobe products.

Excellent planning and organizational skills, attention to minute detail, ambitious to learn, time management, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills are critical.

A team player with the ability to think strategically and contribute to the development of initiatives and projects to continuously evolve and optimize.
