Sr Manager IT - Utility Operations

Lucas Group, a Korn Ferry company has partnered with one of Forbes Best Midsize Employers list for 2022 in their search for an IT Director of Utility Operations. As a hybrid position, this role allows you to sit in Wisconsin, Iowa or the greater Minneapolis or Chicago area. In this role, you would be responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team of technical managers, business analysts and developers. While partnering with business stakeholders to align product strategy, roadmaps and selection for domain of remit, you would manage resources to work towards a shared goal to deliver and support based on operational plans. Scope of Responsibilities

• Responsible for resource and vendor management, and short- and long-range product roadmap planning.
• Responsible for standards and delivery of tools / platform solutions / technology services, configuration, and integration.
• Lead and coach product owners and teams in backlog management best practices and define and prioritize the group backlog each quarter, transferring priorities to the team.
• Responsible for people management duties including budgeting, hiring, performance reviews, coordinating and scheduling work, discipline and coaching / counseling.

Skills Needed:

• 5+ years of architecture, technology implementation and delivery experience with 5+ years supervisory experience.
• 5 years DevOps, CI/CD and other modern technology methodologies
• 5 years of vendor management experience
• 4+ years of industry specific experience including ADMS (DMS/DERMS), EWAMS, GIS
• Experience in developing, managing and executing solutions to diverse and complex business problems that enable business strategies.
• Experience of cloud technologies including Azure and AWS.

Educational & Work Requirements:

• Master degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or EE preferred
• 15+ years of professional experience
