Position Summary

Come make a difference with our team, supporting a very special mission in the communities we serve. This leadership role has a great opportunity to positively impact the local and regional communities and to lead our development team to success. This person is responsible for strategic leadership, vision, and management of our overall philanthropic efforts to support major gifts, our annual campaign, and enhance the long-term viability of the organization in accordance with the strategic direction set by the board of directors.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in communications, PR, business, health/human services, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership capacity, including team building.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort with public speaking.
  • Has flexibility for varying hours and service-area travel as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize projects for and work in a team with volunteers, staff, and board.
  • Experience in a comprehensive development program desirable.
  • Experience in a health-related organization desirable
  • Experience in major and planned gift fundraising or grant proposal writing desirable.


Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Required
  • Current drivers license and auto insurance

The work environment is varied between the office, travel and location of speaking engagements and events. The employee is frequently asked to drive, occasionally drive to unfamiliar destinations.
