Description

This position is located at the EERC, an international leader in energy and environmental research, conducting projects for clients throughout the United States and the world.   • Lead and support the Assistant Director of Business & Finance in managing the financial functions of the EERC
  • Provide financial review, oversight and verification of documentation for various financial functions including payments, payroll and journal entries Oversee and direct the Budget Analyst team.

Position Benefits

Required Competencies

  • Business process development skills

  • Experience with financial infrastructure

  • Organizational/prioritization ability

  • Excellent interpersonal/oral/written communication skills

  • Proficient in Excel

  • Use of Microsoft Word

  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive

Minimum Requirements

  • Accounting Degree and experience to perform the duties of the position

  • 5 years of progressive experience.

  • Experience with relevant policy issues.

  • Experience in budget preparation.

  • Experience with accounting, payroll, and payment processes.

  • Demonstrated financial management.

  • Experience with interpretation and application of Federal regulations.

  • Successful completion of criminal history records check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in evaluating federal opportunity announcements with respect to  financial aspects.

  • Experience with University accounting, payroll, and payment processes.

  • Experience with PeopleSoft.

  • Experience with Jaggaer or other procure-to-pay system.

Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification

$95,000 Annual; Exempt; Benefited; Full-time

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with flexibility to accommodate work activities/work life balance. Travel may be required.
