Food Service Workers UM Crookston Campus

About the Job

POSITION: Three Full-time, 9-month positions starting at $15.93/hr. working in Dining Services starting as soon as possible. Hours of work will be Monday-Friday with some weekends.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform food production tasks, cleaning, and provide customer service for UMC students, faculty, staff, visitors, and friends at retail and resident dining locations.

Employees in Dining Services are University of Minnesota Crookston employees, supervised by Sodexo management staff, UMC's contracted food service management company, and are governed by the Teamsters and University bargaining unit agreement. This position is represented by the Teamsters Local 320 bargaining unit and dues or fair share reductions will be made. According to article 2.1 of the Teamster/University bargaining agreement, employees will work more than 67 days in a year, or more than 14 hours/week (35% time).

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: At least six months experience in a food service operation or with quantity food production. High school graduate or GED. Competently read, write, and understand English. Ability to lift up to fifty pounds occasionally. Must be able to stand up for 4 hours at a time. Possesses safe knife handling skills.
