For the intensified development of our North American market we are looking for a


PAYROLL (30%)

  • In charge of the monthly salary administration for Canada and the United States (salary-, commission and personal use of the company car calculation and posting)
  • Filling and payment of State and Federal payroll taxes (monthly, quarterly, annually)
  • Independently troubleshoot payroll system related issues
  • Responsible for payroll accounting by ensuring payroll funds come from the appropriate accounts.
  • Provide a high-level of customer service when answering payroll questions and assisting employees with timesheet/vacation/sick time entries.


HR Services (30%)

  • Manage onboarding of new employees
  • Expenses management (process the posting and payment of the sales representatives monthly expense reports)
  • Vehicle fleet management for the United States and Canada
  • Update and develop employee handbooks and guidelines
  • Monitors vacation, compensatory time, and sick time records and balances and resolves any discrepancies.


RECRUITING (20%)

  • Partner with hiring managers in recruiting candidates.
  • Post job openings to various platforms
  • Responsible for background checks, and required training.
  • Participate in search committee meetings & candidate interviews as a representative of Human Resources.
  • Facilitate onboarding and provide new employees with information about SIGAs practices and policies.


OTHER (20%)

  • Participate in the monthly process improvement days (SIGA SMS Days)
  • Active in the planning and execution of staff gatherings and other employee engagement activities.
  • Enter customer orders during vacation absence of office staff
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Required Qualifications


  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • At least 3 year HRS experience including payroll
  • A highly reliable and independently way of working sets you apart
  • Based on your organizational skills, your flexibility and your positive attitude you possess the ability to remain level headed and you can assert yourself in difficult situations
  • Solid analytical and decision making skills as well as learning receptivity
  • Advanced MS Office/Excel or spreadsheet skills
  • You are able to tune into different SIGA stakeholders, you can quickly adjust to new situations and you are enabled to draw the right conclusions and make a decision
  • Proficient in English
  • Motivation to work interdisciplinary with the internal departments of our corporate parent in Switzerland
  • Must be able to demonstrate authorization to work in the United States
