Job Details

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in various finance and accounting roles in and industrial/manufacturing environment with exposure to and knowledge of computer systems and financial planning systems and detailed understanding of the plant operations.
• Experience with Prism and/or SAP operating systems will be a plus.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

???Develop and maintain a system of internal controls which ensures the integrity of all financial reporting and systems.

• Maintain consistent procedures such as distinctions/definitions of variable versus fixed costs, O&O policies, returns and allowance reserve policies.
• Review of standard costs, with a means to measure and adjust manufacturing standards when necessary, while helping to put into place a method to allow for process improvements and their effect on stand costs.
• Monitor plant and warehouse inventory levels, helping to establish appropriate levels of inventory that allows plants/company to reach management goals.
• Review plant O&O and customer complaint reserves for reasonableness and their impact on monthly profitability.
• Monitor and/or recommend various cost containment or cost savings programs.
• Play a substantial role in month-end closes such as review of plant performance, FIFO calculations, inventory revaluations, etc.
• Determines cost of operations by establishing standard costs; collecting operational data.
• Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; proving trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
• Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
• Performs Balance sheets reconciliations.
• Confirms costs by collecting, interpreting, and reporting data.
• Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
• Secures information by completing data base backups.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
