Part Time Catering Driver

Essential Functions

* Ability to work in a team environment, while also taking ownership of assigned catering carts and assigned deliveries on own.
* Prepare Personal Supply Kits and food and beverage carts for flights as assigned
* Load catering truck with food and beverage carts, Personal Supply Kits, and other necessary supplies. Ensure assigned back up items are in catering truck.
* Drive and maneuver catering truck to rear of aircraft and raise box of catering truck to the aircraft.
* At a height of about 15 feet: deliver, remove, and clear aircrafts of carts, food, beverage, essential supplies, and catering waste back and forth between elevated box of catering truck and the aircraft in an efficient manner
* Perform safety inspection of assigned items, including assigned truck, prior and after shift
* Coordinate with the manager and other employees to turn assigned planes at the same time and communicate with other departments as necessary
* Troubleshoot any interruption to normally scheduled assigned service to planes
* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

* 18+ years old with high school diploma or equivalent
* Ability to communicate effectively
* Strong organizational skills
* Ability to multitask effectively in fast paced environment
* Must have the ability to work flexible work hours including availability to work holidays and weekends.
* Must have a valid driver's license

Preferred Skills

* Airline experience
* Forklift experience
* Operating a box truck with and without air brakes

Work Environment

This job may operate both indoors and outdoors. When working indoors this position will be working in a warehouse environment. While working outside the employee will be exposed to various weather such as rain, sleet, snow, hot and cold weather. While working outside the employee might work during the day or night. In addition, this position is may be exposed to loud noises from arriving and departing planes.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands or finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee will frequently push or pull carts weighing up to 200 pounds. The employee is required to frequently work at heights around fifteen feet. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, low light and nighttime vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
