As a Claims Business Process Technician supporting Government Appeal Operations you will design and develop dashboards and analysis to measure post deployment success of automation and digital expansion initiatives aimed to improve member/provider satisfaction. You will root cause initiatives where the post deployment does not yield the anticipated results and make recommendations to the operational and strategic objectives team to improve results based on that research. Your analyses will be used to create viable, real-world solutions in a complex health care landscape.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm local time. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and analyze post deployment success of automation and digital expansion initiatives across all areas of Government Appeals Operations. Link these results to measurable reductions in cost and improvement in the member/provider experience.
  • Lead cost benefit analysis projects across the organization by contributing to volume predictions and operational performance modeling
  • Create and update automated dashboards of all tracked initiatives and lead a process to provide meaningful insights on a recurring basis to the business owners of the projects including varying levels of leadership
  • Positions in this function high technical ability, strong critical thinking, and a willingness to engage with leadership to share meaningful results/updates

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) OR High School Diploma / GED (or higher) WITH 5+ years of work experience with a technical or healthcare background
  • 2+ years of experience working with Tableau
  • 2+ years of experience in performing data analytics, SQL, and/or other statistical programs
  • 5+ years of Excel Experience including complex formula building
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous reporting experience
  • Previous experience with Health Care and CMS regulations
Telecommuting Requirements:
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $87,900 to $156,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
