Leads the Structural and Electrical Design Teams with strategy and drive to meet Operational goals in Quality, Cost & Delivery for the external customer and internal manufacturing while maximizing efficiency with an emphasis on Engineering Excellence.
Essential Duties:
Drives enhancements on the execution of Initial Drawings in 3D SolidWorks Design Software for both Structural and Electrical construction ensuring quality deliverables are achieved for customer satisfaction.
Drives enhancements of the Structural and Electrical Bill of Material creation for accuracy and corrective action when necessary.
Works with Sales Engineering and Sales Management to drive quality deliverables from Request for Quote to Pre-Acceptance prior to Design commencement.
Directs and monitors work of Structural and Electrical Leadership to ensure Quality, Delivery and Efficiency targets are met for the overall Engineering Department.
Creates a training platform for new employees that adheres to the defined Quality standards.
Works with the Master Scheduler to determine project assignments and due dates for both Structural and Electrical Engineering.
Provide technical advice and/or expertise in problem resolution and where necessary on assigned projects.
Drive standard design practice with an emphasis on quality and increased throughput.
Provide communication, work direction, coaching, training and guidance for direct reports.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in the Engineering field; Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Architectural, etc. 5+ years of Management experience with direct reports that include; Detailers, Designers, & Engineers.
To perform this job successfully an individual should have effective working knowledge of Microsoft Office, knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks is a benefit.
Will supervise, train, and mentor employee(s) in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
