This critical People position will support the Home & Hospice business vertical, along with Marketing and Customer Experience in our SaaS business. This team member will be a strategic and innovative thinker that has demonstrated experience in establishing effective relationships as a consultative business partner. The focus for this position is on understanding business strategies and objectives to ensure appropriate alignment of People programs and strategies that lead to overall business success.

Principal Responsibilities

Understand the organization's business goals and strategies to provide creative and relevant business solutions and ideas.

Coach leaders to translate business strategies into organizational effectiveness through assessment, diagnosis, implementation plan, and execution.

Drive and facilitate talent management initiatives including performance management, succession planning, development, and leadership planning.

Build organizational effectiveness and change leadership capability to drive key outcomes, decisions, and transformational change.

Act as a consultant to lead workforce planning and effectively partner with the staffing process to ensure talent needs and diversity considerations are fulfilled.

Provide strategic direction and input to business leaders regarding overall People strategies that support the culture, company direction, and the growth needs of the business and employees.

Work collaboratively with the People Specialist groups to ensure the effective development of programs and tools to drive business goals; provides feedback on implementation and utilization of tools to ensure flawless execution; responsible for representing the client's needs and providing client feedback to the Specialist teams.

Provide expert advice, coaching, and counsel to leaders and employees on People programs, policy and procedures, employment/labor laws, conflict resolution, change management, diversity, and organizational development and design to promote a fair and equitable work environment.

Ensure that performance assessments are calibrated with department and business results.

Respond and drive resolution around performance management, harassment, discrimination, misconduct, employee safety, teamwork, etc.

Lead complex employee relations issues and legal investigations on behalf of the business.

Partner with leaders on the overall engagement strategy/plan using employee feedback (e.g. employee surveys, focus groups, etc.).

Partner with senior business leaders to build capability of managers through training, development, and coaching.

Partner with internal communications to ensure alignment between internal communications and overall people strategy.

Maintain current and complete understanding of Federal and State laws including case law and regulations such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, NLRA, etc.; protects company's interests by ensuring all legal requirements for equal employment and compliance are met by keeping informed of changes in these areas and by implementing the necessary practices/programs to meet these changes.

Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Education and Experience

BS/BA in Management, Human Resources, Organizational Development or equivalent experience.

8-10+ years of experience as a successful Business Partner with an emphasis in employee relations, workforce planning and organizational development.10+ years senior leadership role in the appropriate field

HR Professional certification and PHR/SPHR preferred.

Skills and Abilities Required

Ability to work well under pressure and flexible in adapting and responding to changing situations.

Ability to work independently, but a strong effective team player; commitment to results; solutions oriented; superior organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills - ability to present, train, influence, and negotiate.

Strong interpersonal and business partnering skills along with project management and program development skills; effective partnering with key stakeholders to achieve success in attracting and retaining the best talent.

High-level of personal integrity and confidentiality.

Equivalent combination of experience and/or education may be considered.

Home office or professional office environment

Extended periods of sitting required

Hours of work normally 40+ per week

Up to 30% travel may be required at times
