The University of Minnesota's Pediatric Department is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position in the Hematology/Oncology Division.

About the Department:

The Division of Hematology-Oncology provides a rich and cooperative environment for the care of children and adolescents with cancer and blood disease. The division has long-standing interests in the development and testing of new agents for both leukemias and solid tumors, including immune-based cellular therapies, and cancer survivorship. The University of Minnesota serves as a Pediatric Early Phase Clinical Trial Network Center within the Children's Oncology Group. The division is home to the University of Minnesota's Brain Tumor Program; a multi-departmental translational research and clinical effort focused on integrating novel findings to advance the field of neuro-oncology.

Position Highlights:

Academic track position with a focus in clinical care and translational research, at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
Applicants will be expected to develop and manage clinical trials and publish results in peer reviewed journals, in addition to caring for patients on the inpatient and outpatient units of the University of Minnesota Children's Hospital.
Priority programs for the division at this time include neuro-oncology but qualified candidates with other interests in oncology and hematology are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

Completion of a fellowship in pediatric hematology-oncology and pediatric neuro-oncology and board certification or board eligibility in the subspecialty.
Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in the State of Minnesota
Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privilege's
Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States.
