Part Time On Call Substitute 20 Hours per week- Guaranteed

Youth Enrichment League is an after school enrichment provider seeking an On-Call Substitute Teacher to provide coverage for lead instructors who are out sick or unavailable.

SCHEDULE:

This is a part time position. Instructors would work Monday- Friday and be on call from 1pm-5pm in the afternoon during the school year and will adjust to summer hours.

Instructors will be on call and available to leave at a moments notice to substitute teach a class during the Monday through Friday from 1pm-5pm within the Twin Cities Metro Area.

*Instructors will be asked to teach a class up to 60 miles away from their home.*

PAY:

$18 per hour.

$0.30 per mile gas stipend.

Instructors will be paid 4 hours per day regardless of if they teach or not, however we do expect instructors will be teaching 4 out of the 5 days per week, minimum.

LOCATION:

Substitute teachers will be teaching at any of the 400 schools Youth Enrichment League works with within 60 miles of their home. For a complete list of districts we work with please visit our website.

EXPERIENCE:
* We are primarily interested in *dynamic personalities* who want to *make a difference* in a child's day.
* Previous experience working with children is required.
* Experience examples include: youth summer camps, youth coaching, Sunday School instruction, baby sitting, having children of your own, etc.
* Customer service experience preferred.
SUPPLIES AND TRAINING: *Instructors are given all the supplies they need to flourish in an after school setting.*

* Supplies vary depending on subject and course
* Paid training includes an orientation of our policies and procedures as well as class specific training amounting to a total of approximately 4-6 hours.
* Training pay rate is $15 per hour
{YEL!} Instructors will have the following responsibilities: *Be EARLY - Instructors are required and paid to arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled class time * Be PREPARED - {YEL!} provides pre-packaged lessons. Instructors prepare for each lesson.*
* Be SAFE - {YEL!} instructors follow our safety guidelines as well as school safety guidelines.
* Be FRIENDLY - A smile and a healthy dose of enthusiasm go a long way.
* Be ENGAGING - {YEL!} instructors engage students to THINK, LEARN and PLAY WELL each and every class.
{YEL!} Instructors must possess the following qualifications: Availability during weekday after school hours (1:00 - 5:00pm) *A reliable vehicle and ability to transport and store necessary teaching materials * A valid Drivers License
