The Test Technician will be responsible for meeting daily production needs regarding the testing of water processing equipment. Hydro testing, wiring verification and operational testing of equipment to ensure design parameters are achieved.

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

These duties and responsibilities are not exhaustive and will be supplemented as necessary.

  • Verifies machine and component builds are assembled per provided diagrams, blueprints, schematic sketches, prototypes, bill of materials or detailed verbal instructions with minimal supervision. Resolves discrepancies by direct interaction with Engineering resources.
  • Verifies and performs troubleshooting on electrical circuits and mechanical assemblies.
  • Reads and interprets electrical and mechanical blueprints, diagrams and schematics.
  • Clearly communicates with supervisor or facilitator on project status, projected completion, and issues that may have arisen.
  • Keeps accurate records of time spent on projects and explains any discrepancies/problems as necessary.
  • Follows Safe Work Practices and all environmental, health and safety rules.
  • Performs any additional duties as assigned by supervisor or facilitator.

Qualifications / Requirements:
  • 1 year of Electrical and Mechanical troubleshooting experience, including experience with troubleshooting electromechanical systems and basic PLC programming
  • 1 year of experience working with, and ability to connect/disconnect 3-phase electricity, high pressure/volume water and air lines
  • 1 year of experience working with diagnostic equipment
  • 1 year of experience working with hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Desired:
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Field Service experience in the Water Industry
