Identifies and evaluates procedures to ensure the production of quality product for manufacturing side. Works with measurement tools to ensure product is to standard before it is released. Conducts studies to understand capability for process and/or measurement systems. Performs dimensional testing for product before and after cleaning. Provides the Quality group with technical support as required. Makes decisions on how to handle product issues with the operator accordingly and matters pertaining to whether or not product is acceptable. May write technical reports, records of standards and rejections and other required quality documentation. Responsible for highly complex technical projects coordinating internal and external resources/vendors to meet project requirements within designated timeframe. Develops specifications and researches sources for equipment/components to meet customer requirements. Designs, plans, executes and reports experiments and/or test apparatus. Gathers, maintains, and manipulates technical data such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Designs, recommends, assembles and installs equipment/apparatus and processes for product fabrication, research and development or analysis and testing. Produces documentation, reports, and drawings. Writes technical reports and other required documentation. Writes instructions and trains personnel in proper techniques to utilize systems, equipment, and processes. Performs programming, complex troubleshooting, repairs, modifications and maintains systems and/or equipment. Analyzes data, evaluates systems and processes and makes decisions regarding modifications, if necessary. Writes technical reports and other required documentation. Interacts with and advises other departments. Leads tasks of other technicians within group. Contributes to the development and compliance of ISO and GMP quality system. Mentors other department technicians. Performs other duties as required. Education & Experience: Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree preferred with a minimum 0-3 years of experience OR Associate's technical degree with 7-10 years of experience. High school graduate or equivalent with 10+ years of experience. Minimum Experience: Bachelor's degree preferred with a minimum 0-3 years of experience OR Associate's technical degree with 7-10 years of experience. High school graduate or equivalent with 10+ years of experience. Knowledge & Skills: Special Skills: Excellent organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills. Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment. Specialized Knowledge: Ability to read and develop technical drawings/prints. Excellent technical writing skills. Computer operation skills.
