Shipping and Supply Associate

Job Summary

The Shipping and Supply Associate is responsible for delivering incoming package/supplies to internal customers and external storage facilities, as well as ensuring the stockroom inventory is properly received and organized. This position will support BCBSND with office and meeting room configurations.

Essential Functions

• Sorts through incoming packages/supplies and delivers to internal customers.
• Receives purchase orders and verifies accuracy of materials. Distributes orders within the company and offsite locations, as needed. Ensures stockroom inventory is properly received and organized.
• Supports the facility with office furniture movement, space reconfigurations, and employee moves.
• Assists with the loading and unloading of shipments and deliveries with forklifts, pallet jacks, and physically, when needed. Applies supply chain best practices in storage and shipping duties.
• Assists with conference room configuration set up and tear down.
• Provides support on special projects, as needed.

Required: Minimum of 1 Year

Experience Details: Minimum of 1 year of shipping, mailing, facilities or related experience is required.

 

Certification, Licensures & Registration Requirements

Title: Must have or obtain certification in the use of forklift, pallet jack, and wave within three months of hire.

 

 

State or Agency: BCBSND internal certification provided in conjunction with appropriate external curriculums.

 

Equivalent combination of education, experience or training determined to be acceptable by Human Resources may be substituted, unless regulated by contract or program standards
