Purpose:

This position will be responsible for estimating and managing projects primarily within the retail remodel and construction vertical market to include interior and exterior remodel projects to ensure safety, quality of product and service, and profitability on all projects assigned and/or sold under this positions oversight.


Major Opportunities & Key Accountabilities:

  • Prepare bids for remodel and construction projects with retail, exterior hospitality and newly identified markets.
  • Supporting site superintendent in managing the client-specific responsibilities on projects.
  • Successfully manage projects for full scope to include, but not limited to, sales activity within assigned markets, bidding of projects, the execution through site supervisors and sub-contractors and the proper and efficient closeout of each project under management.
  • Share in the key responsibility of communicating and training on administrative duties that are central in the efficient operation of the company and essential to minimizing the risks and liabilities of the employees and the corporation.
  • Work with HR to hire appropriate site superintendent personnel according to company core values.
  • Work with Safety and Compliance Manager to ensure that preventative programs are in place and being followed, keeping our employees safe and in compliance with all pertinent regulations.
  • Work within budget of project to order materials and equipment.


Nature & Scope:

  • This position will have some travel (30% +/-).
  • This position will directly supervise Site Superintendents & Subcontractors.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Must have an entrepreneurial spirit who will act as a business owner, within the built-in structure and support from FCP Executive Leadership Team and the Shared Services Support Office.

  • Understand client needs, including the interpretation of project contract documents to ensure proper alignment with what is best for FCP Services while still serving the client needs for projects and help clients solve their facility needs in a high quality and timely fashion.

  • Extensive knowledge of commercial construction, painting, remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools, equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, safety and applicable federal and state laws.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to communicate directly, consistently, and with the ability to organize and get tasks accomplished through other people while managing remotely.
  • Strong understanding of current construction market, trades, and labor/material unit pricing.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of commercial construction, remodeling project management experience within the commercial construction and remodel vertical market.
  • Prefer 10+ years of experience within commercial construction and remodel vertical market.
  • Ability to bring quality subcontractors and site superintendents into the role.
