Provides Accounts Payable services to the County and answers inquiries/concerns from staff and other related parties. This position ensures the daily functions of the accounts payable and Auditor/Treasurer's Office are processed and completed as required by the standards of the county.

JOB DUTIES:
Works with the public regarding voting procedures and the receipt of property tax payments at the front counter.

Works with Accounts Payables completing the processing of invoices from the time of receipt to payment; verification of taxes paid for property transfers and mortgages to be recorded and perform other accounting duties as assigned.

Monitors and processes expenses and payments by addressing, verifying, processing or preparing payment requests or vouchers; processing, verifying, and/or coding invoices; reviewing and approving bills.

Contacts internal departments and external agencies to communicate payment-related information, resolve financial information-related discrepancies and issues, and verify information.

Enters data into, maintains, verifies, reviews, and/or updates department accounting records and databases; verifies individual eligibility for programs based on record information; and checks for information accuracy and completeness.

Provides customer service and general office support by responding to a variety of inquiries and requests about financial or other information from the public, staff, vendors, and other agencies/individuals in person or via email or phone.

Performs election duties, such as, assisting members; assisting with training; scheduling preliminary dates; running, printing, and filing reports and applications; entering information into systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Two-year Accounting degree and/or 3+ years of comparable experience and proven knowledge of Microsoft Office/Excel required.
