The individual in this position is responsible for the successful planning, implementation, testing, training and closing of installation projects for customers, serving as the main contact throughout the process. The individual actively manages all stakeholders' expectations throughout the project through regular meetings and project status updates.

  • Provide leadership to the team of installation technicians, in addition to mentoring others as needed.
  • Schedule, manage, and coordinate available labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and technical expertise needed for the project.
  • Provide on-site support to Installation Team as needed to during installation of audio, video, and control systems. Duties may include wire pull per plans and specs, speaker, projector, projection screen, and other equipment rigging; termination of mic, line, speaker, CAT 5/6, fiber, Coax, and control cables; testing of all cables; and certification of CAT 5/6 cables.
  • Create comprehensive project plans in accordance with the customer approved scope of work and contract.
  • Assess project risk strategy plans and proactively manage throughout the project life-cycle.
  • Perform site visits in the pre-planning phase and as needed.
  • Complete design and audio activities via computer, write detailed reports, and modify files.
  • Communicate with management in advance about staffing requirements.
  • Participate in client company meetings to suggest changes.
  • Ensure adherence to standards for safety and quality.
  • Answer after hours work calls, emails, and other communications related to project needs.
  • Travel when necessary, including non-local travel which may require evening and weekend work.
  • Assist with developing installation standards and adhering to them.

Knowledge and Skills

  • 2 years project management experience in audiovisual or closely related telecommunications or IT fields.
  • 4 years overall experience in leadership, site supervision, managing technical resources and technology roll-outs.
  • Experience developing and implementing a comprehensive project plan.
  • Experience actively managing all stakeholders' expectations throughout the project through regular meetings and project status updates.
  • Experience organizing and moderating in person project meetings as well as audio/video conferences with client.
  • Experience managing budgets, risk management, resource allocations, quality control, procurement, and other client-specific project processes.
  • Experience utilizing software and tools related to Project Management and resource scheduling and tracking.
  • Experience reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints.
  • Experience utilizing MS Office suite.
  • PMI Certifications (PMP) a plus
  • InfoComm CTS preferred, CTS-I a plus
  • Drive company vehicle and maintain an acceptable driving record, per company policy
  • Understand and speak English.
