Help Desk Specialist

Lakewood Health System has an opening for a Help Desk Specialist! This position provides technical assistance to computer system users.

Responsibilities:

• Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or remotely and aids in the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, word processing, email, network connectivity and operating systems.
  
• Troubleshoot PC problems, printers, scanners, etc.
  
• Will perform IT activities for computer and hardware moves/adds/changes and perform active directory additions and changes as needed.
  
• Maintain documentation of users and PCs and develop and update end-user client services documentation and basic end-user training on desktop hardware and software.
  
• Provide after hours and weekend on-call support on a rotating basis. (4 weeks per year)
  
• Maintain a knowledge of HIPAA security and privacy and how those policies apply to all applications, systems and procedures and report any knowledge of activities which violate HIPAA policy.
  

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week with various day shifts between 7 AM and 4:30 PM. This position has the option of working remotely part time.

Pay: starting at $22.00 per hour based on education and experience
Qualifications

High school graduate or GED equivalent

Excellent customer service skills

Relevant computer experience

Ability to work in a team environment
