This position is responsible for managing the comprehensive orthotic patient care under the direction of a physician's prescription. This includes patient assessment, formulation and implementation of a treatment plan, as well as follow-up and practice management.

Completed the schooling necessary to become certified as a Certified Orthotic Practitioner.

Certification in Orthotics through the American Board for Certification (ABC) or the Board of Certification (BOC) is required. We have amazing technicians and fabrication facilities on site allowing for a smooth process from casting to delivery, even on complex cases. Practitioners are responsible for managing comprehensive orthotic patient care under the direction of a physician's prescription. This includes patient assessment, formulation and implementation of a treatment plan, as well as follow-up and practice management. The orthosis is designed to restore physiological function and/or cosmesis.

As part of the largest rural non-profit health care system in the nation, you can make a difference. Our company and team is currently growing with professional advancement opportunities. We work with a variety of clinics and referral sources, which includes a close relationship with our Physical Medicine & Rehab Physicians. This allows us the opportunity to participate in their clinics and help manage their vast pediatric patient population. We also work with pediatric orthopedic specialists to help coordinate optimum treatment plans. Some of the conditions we work with include scoliosis, pectus carinatum, and plagiocephaly. Practitioners also may have the opportunity to travel to outreach locations (including lakes country) to help expand our region of service and to take the needed care to our patients' local area. Practitioners will also take part in a rotating on call coverage in the Fargo area.

Effectively manages comprehensive orthotic patient care including: providing clear written and oral communication with coworkers, patients & referral sources, responds to questions and concerns with team members and patients, and effectively performing technical job aspects. Performs at least 2-3 concurrent activities without reducing productivity. Uses varying problem-solving approaches and techniques as appropriate and continuously builds knowledge and keeping up-to-date on technical and procedural job components. Demonstrates experience participating in productive collaborative processes. Ensures an appropriate flow of communications within the team. Uses active listening skills and probing techniques to understand cause of a conflict. Makes sound recommendations when faced with complex and contradictory alternatives. Learns and uses resources the organization has to assess and enhance team motivation. Must not be afraid to ask questions to validate their understanding of the subject matter. Able to adapt interaction style to situations and people whether patients, coworkers or referral sources. Anticipates customer needs, focusing efforts to proactively meet needs and exceed customer expectations. Demonstrates proficiency with using all basic office support software. Able to provide clear communication with hospital staff and patients in rotating on call schedule. Able to evaluate, fit and modify devices for in patients as needed during call hours, and proficiently document services provided.

Qualifications
