About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Securities Operations Representative in the Trust Services team within Wealth & Investment Management within our Security Control & Account Transfers (SCAT) and Vault team.

The Security Control & Account Transfers (SCAT) employees work closely with brokers, financial institutions, tax groups, and Trust Account Administrators to ensure that assets such as stocks, bonds, and other securities, are tracked electronically when moving in or out of the Trust Vault. This is a critical role in safeguarding our customers' physical assets and making sure their location is always known. Team members in these roles must demonstrate flexibility and the ability to employ logic and critical thinking skills. The incumbent may cross-train on other settlement functions to provide back up or assistance as needed. All job responsibilities must be completed by the end of the day, so flexibility to work additional hours is necessary.

The functions performed by this role must take place on site, therefore employees in this group will be expected to work at our vault location of 425 East Hennepin Avenue, in Minneapolis, MN. Vault Custodians are also required to physically work in the vault. This role will also serve as a backup vault custodian who is required to work in the vault for purposes of physically locating securities such as stock certificates. Vault Custodians work in close communication with SCAT, but there is a strict segregation of duties to meet regulatory requirements. The Vault Custodian physically handles the assets that are moving in or out of the Trust Vault. All vault responsibilities must be completed by the end of the day, so flexibility to work additional hours is necessary in this role.

In this role, you will:

* Perform various operational tasks on complex securities that require general knowledge of unit functions and systems

* Support securities operations

* Identify ways to improve the overall process

* Perform moderately complex duties such as processing, researching inquires and reconciling transactions

* Review time sensitive documents

* Receive direction from supervisor and coordinate situations involving other departments

* Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

* Interact with internal/external customers via phone or email

* Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

* Working independently under minimal supervision

* Identifying discrepancies in data sets or transactions

* May provide department level reporting using multiple sources

* Managing a pipeline of work from start to completion

* May provide training or work direction to junior level staff

* Provides back-up for other team members as needed

* Meeting quality and production standards of work

Required Qualifications:

* 2+ years of Securities Operations experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills

* Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

* Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information

* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

* Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

* Ability to work independently, proactively, innovatively, and creatively while exercising sound judgment

* Exposure to Wells Fargo SEI Trust 3000 Wells Fargo Trust Accounting system of record

* Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment

* Ability to identify risk factors and ensure enactment of appropriate controls

* Knowledge and understanding of securities industry and securities processing/operations

* Ability to manage a pipeline of work from assignment to completion

* Experience meeting high production and quality standards

* Solid problem solving skills
