DESCRIPTION:
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for managing the renovation of existing STALK & SPADE corporate restaurants and the build-out of future franchisee restaurants. This starts with having a strong understanding of our company's values and our vision. With a strong attention to detail and multi-tasking efficiency, this person is able to make sure that all project deadlines are met and schedules are adhered to. In this role, the Project Manager is directly responsible for overseeing multiple projects from the real estate phase through active construction to project completion. The person in this role serves as the project advisor and trusted liaison for the duration of the construction process for the entire project team. These relationships are maintained by the Project Manager in a professional and courteous manner while demonstrating a strong commitment to STALK & SPADE's core values and vision.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain consistent and clear communication between all parties of the project teams on franchisee projects, including the franchisees, general contractors, designers, vendors, and other Stalk & Spade corporate team members
  • Manage active renovations of existing corporate Stalk & Spade locations
  • Lead the project team through construction
  • Develop and maintain Steele Brands Construction Standards, and ensure that these standards are adhered to by all project parties
  • Generate, monitor, and update project timelines; identify deliverables and task owners
  • Manage selective financial aspects of the project
  • Proactively identify any potential issues during construction that may arise on the job site or in office, and promptly resolving these issues in a professional manner, assuming responsibility and mobilizing appropriate parties
  • Facilitate weekly/bi-weekly project meetings and procurement meetings
  • Successfully close out projects, including but not limited to overseeing the punch list process, implementing the project closeout checklist, ensuring the completion of all trades, and submitting final billings
  • Maintain a list of approved preferred vendors
  • Maintain and improve online project systems and software
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree with major coursework in construction management, engineering, or a related field is a plus
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a project manager or similar position, preferably in general contracting.
  • Basic understanding of general contracting and the life cycle of a project
  • Multi-site program construction and/or ground up construction experience is a plus.
  • High proficiency with technology is a must (MS Office, scheduling software, CM software)
  • Excellent communication skills via email and in-person
  • Motivated and self-directed mindset with the ability to anticipate needs, proactively find solutions, and adapt to changing priorities
