Job Summary

The Director of Enterprise Reporting is responsible for driving the execution of the organization’s data analytics strategy and ensuring reporting capabilities support attainment of business objectives and our vision for the future. This role will oversee the utilization and governance of data across the enterprise, developing and governing our data and reporting strategy in order to support business decision needs, identify new insights into our business and advance the analytics and reporting capabilities of the enterprise.

Essential Functions
  • Directs, leads, and oversees employees in accomplishing work objectives within the unit(s). Coaches, motivates, rewards, and recognizes employees. Sets clear goals, objectives and expectations while holding employees accountable for achieving results.
  • Oversees the development and execution of data reporting strategies for the use of data analytics in new capabilities, products, or services, driving client satisfaction, competitive advantage, and new innovative solutions.
  • Leads the development of advanced analytic solutions and proposes recommendations and strategies to solve opportunities in unique ways that return optimal value to our business.
  • Partners with department leadership to ensure data assets provide all the necessary data attributes and data fields needed for analytics and are kept up to date and consistently available to business users and external partners.
  • Matures and advances analytics capabilities and reporting on products, customers, operations, and markets.
  • Leads the organization in the availability of self-service data analytics and dashboarding, seeing that data definitions, dictionaries and data models are made available to business users.
  • Drives performance of analytics solutions to impact overall business results while managing all team expenditures and capital projects to operate within budget guidelines.
  • Oversees the identification, development, and execution of data visualization and self-service data capabilities, including the utilization of external data sources to enrich data as needed.
  • Develops strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, driving value realization from analytical modeling efforts, and ensuring customer needs are met.
  • Ensures continued development of data reporting and analytics function, including standardized tools, report standardization, automation, and decision-support capabilities.

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's

Preferred: Master's

Field(s) of Study: Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Information Technology or related field

 

Experience Requirements

Required: Minimum of 10 Years

Preferred: Minimum of 13 Years

Experience Details: Minimum of 10 years of data analytics, data reporting, business intelligence, data management/governance, healthcare or related experience is required, of which 5 years of supervisory/staff leadership experience is required.

Job Posting Policy

Employees new to Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota are eligible to apply for positions within their assigned department after successfully completing 90-days in their role. For positions outside of their department, new employees should attain a minimum of six months of service before applying for a new role.
