Industrial Engineer

The Industrial Engineer supports both the Operations & Engineering teams. The Industrial Engineer participates in the development of product design, CAD models, and CNC programs for the product. The Industrial Engineer also assists the departmental supervisors in the development and revision of existing shop floor processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Industrial Engineering (50%)
• Provide recommendations for improvements to the manufacturing process to increase throughput and reduce manufacturing cost.
• Maintains/Creates the ERP data for the Engineering team.
• Utilizing CAM software, creates the required CNC programs from the SolidWorks Model.

Product Design (40%)

• Utilizing customer requirements and SolidWorks to create product designs.
• Utilizing AutoCAD files and SolidWorks to update product designs.
• Works closely with the Operations and Engineering teams to identify product design improvements to increase throughput and reduce manufacturing cost.

All other duties as assigned (10%)

Required:

?? Associate's Degree in Mechanical design or other Engineering Technology

?? Ability to read blueprints

?? 5+ years of experience using SolidWorks, Pro Engineer, or similar 3D CAD software

?? 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment

?? 3+ years of experience and/or training with Microsoft Office and CAM software

Preferred:

?? 3+ years of experience in a furniture manufacturing environment

?? 3+ years of experience in tool design

?? Experience and/or training with any of the following: Visual ERP, Cim-tech CAM, Woodwop, nesting software, and programming of CNC routers.
