Using an account management approach serve as liaison to complex customer base addressing, responding and resolving escalated operational inquiries with external and internal customers. Support the overall delivery of benefits and services by providing leadership and consultation on claims and service issues as a member of the Account Management Team.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 8:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the liaison to a complex customer base to manage first level response and resolution of escalated issues with external and internal customers
  • Identifies and resolves operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgment
  • Investigate enrollment, billing, claim and/or customer service issues as identified and communicate resolution to customers
  • Provide feedback to team members regarding improvement opportunities
  • Provides expertise and customer service support to members, customers, and/or providers
  • Responsible for the overall delivery of benefits and services by providing support and guidance to existing and potential customers to ensure continued membership
  • Work within established procedures
  • Influence others to meet expected service levels and deadlines
  • Work independently
  • Act as a resource for others

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare claims or benefits experience
  • Proficiency with a Windows PC computer and applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Word (create / edit documents and add visual aids), and Microsoft Excel (create / edit spreadsheets)
  • Knowledge and/or experience in healthcare billing and enrollment
  • Willingness to work a flexible 8-hour schedule based on business needs - Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 8 PM

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree (or higher)
  • 1+ years of experience working in UHC Appeals & Grievances Line of Business
  • Experience in claims adjustments within CSP Facets
  • Commercial and/or Medicaid experience
  • Knowledge of ATS (Appeals Tracking System)
  • Knowledge of CITRUS

Telecommuting Requirements:
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $17.12 - $30.34. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $18.80 - $33.41.
