Cost Accounting Manager (Flexible Work Model)

If you are a Cost Accounting professional looking for an opportunity to grow, our client (highly-respected/growing manufacturing company), has an exciting opportunity for you! In this role you will be responsible for finance/costing activities for one of the company's most complex production facilities. You will also serve as a key member of the operations leadership team.

AS A COST ACCOUNT MANAGER YOU WILL:

Plans, coordinates all cost accounting and financial reporting functions, and is a senior member of the local management team.
Lead the development of annual standard costs and manufacturing budgets, including standard department labor and overhead rates.
Perform analysis around manufacturing standard cost variances, product profitability, inventory valuation, capital investment opportunities, other efficiency programs.
Analyze financial reports and provide feedback to Financial Controller.
Partner with accounting team on monthly close, including journal entries, variance analysis, deviation analysis - helping to drive consistency, timeliness, completeness, and accuracy.
Participate and drive projects that identify potential cost savings opportunities across the organization.

WHO YOU ARE:
You serve as a liaison between different stakeholder groups. You facilitate an open dialogue with a wide variety of contributors and stakeholders. You identify and monitor key financial indicators to gauge performance, identify trends, and suggest strategies that can impact results. You create and implement plans that allocate resources precisely.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

A. or B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance with an accounting emphasis
5+ relevant years of experience is required
Experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment is required
Experience leading/managing staff (or ready for making the step into leadership)

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

CMA/CPA Preferred
Demonstrated excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work effectively in teams and interact with all levels of the organization.
Strong technology skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, HFM, and

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems

COMPENSATION: $110K to $140K + bonus
