Entry-Level Accountant Job Description:

As an entry-Level Accountant, you are responsible for tax preparation for businesses and individuals, accurately handling day-to-day accounting processes, and reconciling financial and accounting ledgers. In addition, the key responsibility of this position is to identify and resolve problems for clients.

What you will do as an Entry-Level Accountant:

• Prepare and review tax returns, individual and business
• Identify and solve problems arising from client inquiries
• Communicate with potential new clients to determine client needs
• Maintain fixed asset depreciation schedules for accounting and business tax clients
• Strategize with the team to determine optimal tax strategy for clients
• Calculate income tax estimates for individual and business clients
• Consult tax law handbooks or bulletins to determine procedures for the preparation of atypical returns
• Research on complex matters
• Draft letters and responses to inquiries from various tax agencies as necessary
• Assist clients with software operations where necessary (mostly QuickBooks)
• Perform period close process and financial statement preparation
• Review and correct errors in financial entries, documents, and reports when necessary
• Other projects and duties as assigned

What you will bring to the role as an Entry-Level Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree
• Accounting experience
• CPA is a plus
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Critical thinking, self-motivated & high organization skills
• Project management
