The Case Installations Account Service Representative performs employer benefit plan design coding to assigned accounts, including, but not limited to: structure building and revisions, and researching and resolving structure issues.

This position is full-time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform generation of plan documents, including but not limited to, Summary Plan Descriptions (SPD), amendments, and Summary of Benefits & Coverage (SBC)
  • Use supporting documents (work orders, installation documents) to ensure our system is coded correctly and plan documents that are generated are accurate
  • Adhere to departmental guidelines and processes put in place for these tasks
  • Become familiar with current policies and procedures and other reference material
  • Provide feedback and explanation in a positive and professional manner
  • Work in a team environment while demonstrating individual accountability
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma / GED (or higher)
  • Experience with Microsoft Word (ability to perform formatting with text and charts) and Excel (comfortable with spreadsheets and basic formulas).
  • Proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel (create, edit, sort/filter, create pivot tables)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with data mapping
  • Ability to set up/run queries Access
  • Familiarity with insurance and/or medical terminology
  • Publishing or editing experience

Telecommuting Requirements:
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills
  • Communication with multiple areas regarding benefit intent
  • Ability to produce high quality work while meeting productivity expectations
  • Proven to be proactive, self- motivated, detailed oriented, and work with minimal supervision or support
  • Demonstrate effective time management skills to effectively plan, organize, set priorities, meet deadlines and handle multiple work assignments
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize caseload based on business needs as well as ability and willingness to accept and work in a new and changing environment
  • Experience with delivering oral and written results and reports on assigned projects
  • Experience working with team members in a virtual environment
  • Candidates with leadership qualities are preferred. This includes the ability to work independently without direction, possession of problem solving and root/cause analysis skills, and the ability to be a change agent. Also included are candidates that take ownership of their work.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $15.00 - $25.19. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $15.77 - $27.79.
