Genesis10 is seeking a Project Coordinator for a Right to Hire with our client in Minneapolis, MN

Summary:
Typically a Senior Project Manager will manage 2 projects that can be in size from $500K to $1 Million in budget and may be multi-year, there are also a number of smaller projects in this organization that range in budget from $75K to $100K and then they also have Business As Usual work that has about a $2 Million budget per year. Projects in this area also typically have a business side Project Manager, Developers, and Business Systems Analysts on the projects.

Some examples of the projects are AML or Anti Money Laundering, Fraud Detection, or Supervision meaning oversight over Trading transactions or Advisors.

The Project Manager provides weekly status reports, monthly steering committee meetings and in these meetings they review cost, scope, and schedule.

It is helpful if the resource has a technical understanding but there are also Technical Leads that will help with the technical information.

Resource will start out as a Project Coordinator and goal is for this resource to grow into becoming a Project Manager in the organization.

Responsibilities:
20% - Project Coordination: Administer and coordinate technology projects/programs under guidance from the Project Managers.
Coordinate project meeting agendas, minutes, tracking action items and follow-ups.
Document and maintain detailed project plans that encompass resource plans, goals, roles and processes to clarify scope, schedule and budget and track milestones, utilize the company's project management system(s).
Assist with training logistics and maintain overall project documentation.
Support one or more projects with overall budgets ranging up to $10MM

15% - Maintain Documentation: Maintain the project financials in the applicable system(s).
Support the processing of any and all invoices related to OPC or labor costs.
Partner with Project Manager on forecasting, risks and issues management logging and resolutions.
Work with the team to create and maintain a project plan containing objectives, time line, priorities and risks - this includes ensuring that resource plans, milestones, etc. are documented maintained using the designated tool-set.

15% - Project Communication: Manage multiple activities within a project or set of projects within the company's project delivery framework and utilize company/industry standard project management methodologies and tools.
Accountable for coordinating project communication and escalation of critical issues to the project managers.
Provide solutions to identified issues under the guidance of Project Managers.
Post-implementation results monitoring and adjustment.

15% - Project Reporting: Use appropriate PM tools, document overall objectives and key deliverables for the project; track key measures of success.
Maintain comprehensive project plans that incorporate deliverables, accountabilities, resource plans, time lines and interdependencies, utilize company's project management system for maintaining/tracking project plan and status.
Coordinate regular status reporting on project status to project sponsors and key stakeholders.

15% - Supplementary Work: Unplanned and unique tasks that help to support the project and increase capacity of others.
Might be additional data analysis, creation of presentation decks, or putting together distribution lists as a few examples.

10% - Analysis: Coordinate and analyze (for reasonability and consistency) project estimates that include resource requirements, time line and key milestones and financial budget.
Identify project risks and develop risk mitigation plans that include identification, assessment, and contingency management. Incorporate change control to the overall project plan to document and track risks.
Facilitate required distribution and/or archival of project documentation.

5% - Recruitment and engagement with New Talent: Being an active representative of the Project Coordinator Role by attending career fairs and on-campus requirement activities as a Ameriprise PMO representative, conducting first-round interviews and discussing candidates with the recruitment team.
Project Coordinators will also be expected to engage in a mentor/mentee structured relationship with over Project Coordinators.
New members of the company will be assigned to someone who has been through the PC program or in it for at least 12 months in order to establish meaningful work relationships, support the onboarding process, provide guidance, improve leadership skills and create an enjoyable work environment.

5% - Continuous Learning: Continually improve project skills via on the job learning and best practices from prior projects, training and peer learning.
Develop and maintain expertise in applicable technologies and identify and pursue areas for development and training that will enhance job performance.
