Summary: The QTI Group has partnered with Madison Public Schools Foundation in search of a Finance and Operations Manager. The Finance and Operations Manager plays a key role in maximizing and strengthening internal capacity of this well-respected, high-impact organization through strategic, responsible, and efficient financial and operational practices. The ever-changing environment provides a wide variety of opportunities to make an impact on the state's second largest school district. This role will operate on site, full-time Monday-Friday, paying $60,000 or more per year based on experience. A competitive benefits package is offered. Responsibilities:
  • Manage budget development process as well as annual operating plans, goals, and performance dashboard
  • Reconcile financial statements in preparation for internal meetings
  • Process accounts payable and manage financial reports
  • Receive, process, and acknowledge donor gifts; generate weekly gift reports; maintain donor database
  • Manage annual audit process
  • Manage gift attribution, report generation and updates to fund advisors and stakeholders
  • Prepare mail lists, reports, and analysis of results in support of fundraising campaigns, appeals, and events
  • Gather and document annual spend of resources for school endowment fund
  • Manage Don and Dana Hafeman Scholarship program
  • Oversee annual review of policies and procedures as well as insurance policies
  • Maintain internal knowledgebase for program accounts as well as vendor information
  • Liaise with partners on monthly reports, issuing annual 1099 forms, annual investment income from endowment funds, etc.
Qualifications:
  • 5 years of financial, accounting, and/or operations management experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles
  • Ability to analyze information, reports, and numbers to explain results and solve problems
  • Strong commitment to quality, accuracy and detail
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as with colleagues and partners
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks and Raiser's Edge preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
