Job Summary: Responsible for monitoring, maintenance and reporting on assigned facilities; perform minor mechanical repairs; perform data entry and remote security/monitoring associated with one or more unmanned locations; maintain and promote all Goodnight Midstream policies and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all Pumper I and II duties, to the satisfaction of management.
  • Maintain company safety standards, reporting any incidents to management immediately and recommend improvements in safety protocol or operations when possible.
  • Conduct daily facility visits at assigned locations (more visits may be required as needed)
    • Performs visual inspection/maintenance of site and equipment;
    • Change Sock Filters as necessary;
    • Leak Detection/Repair;
    • Prepare Oil for sale.
  • Perform visual pipeline inspections (walking and/or driving) in an assigned area, frequency determined by local Operational Management.
  • Perform utility/pipeline locates in an assigned area.
  • Act as company representative for Line Crossings, Hydrovac services/Daylighting, and Backfilling operations.
  • Perform Pipeline Operations duties, including, but not limited to: valve inspection, block valve maintenance and operation, Leak Detection, MIT/Leak testing, Operate and maintain transfer pumps, etc.
  • Assist Operations Foreman with operation and maintenance activities at disposal sites:
    • Maintain inventory of supplies, food and water;
    • Assist and support Pumpers as needed with maintenance and repairs and operational troubleshooting;
    • Make deliveries;
    • Trouble-shoot operational and computer issues, such as: Resetting or restarting computers/cameras, finding passwords, identifying nuisance alarms, PLC/HMI Operations, working with support staff, writing workorders in Fiix, etc;
    • Fill-in for Pumpers, as needed.
  • Functional knowledge of all record-keeping and communication systems. (FIIX System, SCADA, Slack, Answernet, Eagle Eye, truck ticketing, etc.).
  • Assist and monitor on-site subcontractors and crews and provide feedback to management.
  • Drive and maintain a company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Travel to multiple sites to supplement staffing levels as necessary.
  • Provide information and feedback to management.
  • Serve as a local operational representative, and liaison with customers, as needed.
  • Proactively monitor sites for safety and environmental hazards.
  • Perform other tasks, as requested by Operations Foreman.
Position Requirements

Education and Experience:

Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience as a Pumper (prior directly-related industry experienced will be considered); Minimum of 1 year of Operator experience preferred; High school degree or GED required. Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Water disposal and/or oil and gas experience required. Must be able to fully operate an SWD facility under normal, abnormal and emergency conditions. Candidates should have mechanical aptitude, and ability, as well as basic computer skills (MS Office).

Must be organized, dependable and a team player; This person must possess a congenial attitude, and must be well-received among management, peers and customers alike. Ability to resolve issues, maintain composure and work well under pressure, when it comes to system operations and emergency situations, is needed. Attention to detail and a high sense of urgency; Must be flexible, adaptable and have good judgement; strong written and verbal communication skills; must display a high level of professionalism when interacting with customers or vendors; must be able to function independently.

Working Environment/Physical Requirements:

Must be able to perform physical tasks such as entering a confined space, operating large valves, climbing stairs and ladders, and walking long distances. Outdoor work in all weather conditions. Must be able to crawl, crouch and kneel occasionally. Frequent lifting required up to 25 lbs., with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling are also occasionally required. Operates a company vehicle up to 30-40% of the time. Must be willing to work overtime, early morning shift and have a flexible schedule.

Schedule:

Operators work two-week shifts, called hitches. During their hitch, Operators are expected to work 12 hours per day, from 7 am to 7 pm. During their hitch, but while not working, Operators may engage in normal private pursuits, including eating, sleeping, entertaining, and other periods of complete freedom from all duties when they may leave the premises for their own purposes. However, Operators must be able to respond to on-site issues/situations in a reasonably timely manner. Overtime may be required
