The roles of the Health Care Project Manager would include overseeing a wide variety of projects. These include everything being able to identify issues, provide solutions, delegate tasks and monitor progress to stay on schedule and on budget. Frequent communication about projects with departments is preferred. The role is very fast-paced with constant deadlines.

Client Details

The client is a growing General Contractors based in the Twin Cities area. Strong leadership out of top construction companies in the business. Their pipeline is significantly higher than anticipated for the next couple years. This is the reason for the opening. They specialize in Ground-Up and Tenant Improvement, Corporate Offices, Higher and Lower Education, Health Care/Senior Living, Religious & Municipal buildings.

Description

  • Provide leadership and direction on Health Care / Commercial high value construction projects
  • Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site and corporate staff to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget
  • Work with the Project team to develop a work plan, establish priorities and assign tasks
  • Coordinate the preparation of the schedule and long term planning
  • Implement, monitor, update and communicate the progress schedule and its periodic revisions
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts: review and approve budgets, cost reports, rental equipment and expenses
  • Perform the final review of internal items such as Cost Analysis, Monthly Billing, Master Cost Breakdown and Monthly Reports
  • Manage subcontractor schedules, quality of work, coordination with other trades and payments
  • Create and maintain a safe/secure job site environment
  • Review and approve drawings and samples prior to submittal
  • Train and develop the Project team and schedule project resources

Profile

  • 5+ years of construction experience
  • 2+ yeas as a project manager
  • Strong background in Health Care, Commercial Construction
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • The ability to work in a fast paced work environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • The desire to grow their career professionally
  • The desire to drive the growth of a highly reputable General Contractor
  • The desire to mentor some of the younger Project Managers
  • Strong track record with client relationships
