The Financial Consultant will play a critical role in forecasting, tracking, and advising on key aspects of the medical affordability agenda. They will also partner with key stakeholders from around the business to develop program models, evaluate program performance, automate forecast processes using SAS/Excel, and advise on intersegment agreements.
You will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges. Minnetonka, MN preferred.

- Primary Responsibilities
- Develop, perform and manage the analyses of business and financial metrics as well as performance measures
- Develop and maintain financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budget
- Develop, perform and load clinical cost models for each quarterly forecast
- Partner with multiple stakeholders cross-functionally (PI, Clinical, Network, Rx, HCE, SG&A, etc.) to stay current on affordability projects and savings/costs projections
- Drive process improvements to help automate aspects of the forecast using tools such as Microsoft Excel and SAS
- Assist with identifying, analyzing, and driving Medical cost savings into the organization
- Assist with monthly close research and analysis

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of financial experience
- Experience in financial reporting and forecasting
- Experience working collaboratively and influencing across a matrix environment to drive process improvements
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office product suite

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or related field
- Experience using SAS tools
- Essbase experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially with senior leaders
- Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
