Primary Responsibilities:

  • Compile and analyze complex data sets
  • Mine and Prepare data for review at various levels of leadership
  • Develop analyses and interpretation for operational and business review and planning
  • Develop recommended business solutions through research and analysis of data and business process and implement when appropriate
  • Have a high degree of individual responsibility and able to quickly become a data expert
  • Proactively troubleshoot data quality issues by identifying root cause of data discrepancies and determining and implementing recommendations for resolution
  • Design technology solutions for data load and reporting functions

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • SQL experience
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing and identifying issues and finding resolutions
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel (creating and maintaining spreadsheets), Word (creating and maintaining documents)
  • 2+ years of experience collecting data and defining cost benefit analysis for projects
  • Experience in the production of regular and ad hoc reports
  • Experience working with Medicare and Medicaid
  • Understanding of claims (facility and professional)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with Visio (create and edit diagrams), and PowerPoint (creating presentations)
  • 2+ years of experience in developing process maps and requirements document
  • 1+ years of experience in developing process maps and requirements document
  • 1+ years of experience working in multiple systems simultaneously

  • Ability to comprehend project scope and requirements across a wide set of initiatives; able to ask clarifying questions as needed to ensure thorough understanding of project material

  • Solid written, technical documentation and oral communication skills
  • The ability to work in a methodical and logical approach

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
